Donna,
Heaven is the place of God's throne, of the angels, and of the
Jerusalem from above. Although the Bible doesn't give great detail,
it makes us know that heaven is a very real place. The highest
heaven is what you are concerned with.
Paul speaks of three heavens, the aerial heaven, the heaven of the
stars, and the highest heaven, which is the abode of angels, and
where all believers go when they depart this life. Jesus speaks of
heaven as 'the Father's house.' When Jesus left the earth in His
ascension, it says He passed through the 'heavens,' and is now
seated at the right hand of God.
Here are a sampling of Scriptures for you to view:
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed
through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our
confession." Heb4:14
"There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy
dwelling places of the Most High." Psalm 46:4
"Thus says the LORD, 'Heaven is My throne and the earth is My
footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where
is a place that I may rest?'" Isaiah 66:1
"Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the
same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
Matthew 5:12
"Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also
confess him before My Father who is in heaven." Matthew 10:32
"See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to
you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My
Father who is in heaven." Matthew 18:10
"For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in
marriage, but are like angels in heaven." Matthew 22:30
"Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He
who is in heaven." Matthew 23:9
"And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain,
and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of
heaven from God..." Revelation 21:10
The Lord bless you,
Buddy
