Your questions are rather broad but I'll try to provide some answers
that you can work with.

> Question:

> What is the definition of Judaism?

Modern Judaism with its varied denominations, is the religion of
religious Jews. Many Jews are secular and a number are atheists.
These would not consider Judaism their religion.

> How and why Judaism gave birth to Christianity?

Jesus Christ gave birth to Christianity. But since Jesus was from the
Jewish peoples, Christianity is often referred to as a Judeo-Christian
religion. The earliest Christians were all Jews. Their worship was
considered a sect of Judaism. They were referred to as Nazarenes.

> What is the temple and the synagogue?

It depends what period of history you are referring to. Today the
temple is a term used by Reformed Jews for their houses of worship.
The term synagogue is generally used by Conservative Jews.

But if you are referring to the times of Jesus Christ, the temple was
the center of the religion of the Jews. It was where sacrifices were
offered and other priestly functions were carried out. At the time the
synagogues were primarily houses of study where the Scriptures were
taught.

> How did Judaism lose to Christianity?

Christianity fulfilled the worship of God's ancient people, the Hebrews.
Jesus Christ was the Messiah. For this reason many of the Jews
accepted Him fully, but others rejected Him.

Because Christianity has a living Messiah, the good news spread
throughout all the nations, and many multiplied millions of peoples
became Christians. Each time a person turns to Jesus Christ, they
received a validation of their experience by what the Bible calls being
'born again.' This is the primary reason that Judaism lost out to
Christianity. Judaism could only give a religion. Christianity preached a
relationship with the living God through His Son Jesus.
