While we know that Judaism makes no allowance for faith in Jesus, yet the
moral absolutes of what Jesus taught and what Judaism teaches are quite
the same. The problem arises in how to achieve the morality the God, or in
how we are to live for God. Orthodox Judaism places its stress on
obedience to the Torah. The stress of the new covenant is upon faith in
Jesus entirely.

Jesus makes this distinction, when He said to the Jews, "You search the
Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is
these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that
you may have life." (John 5:39,40)
