"Ask the Pastor"

We can only teach what the Bible itself teaches. Paul said that women, and
surely this applies to men as well, should "adorn themselves with proper
clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or
costly garments..." (Cf. 1Tim2:9)

The Greek word for modestly, 'aidos,' speaks of dressing respectfully, or wearing
respectful apparel. Christian men and women should not dress in a manner that
draws attention to the body itself. Paul is the addressing both sensuality and
pride.

As for holiness standards, we teach that God's people should live from holiness
of heart. When the heart is holy, other things follow suit. We do not have a set
of rules for people to follow. However we do have standards that apply to those
in leadership roles. Leaders are suppose to set examples for the flock.

With regard to TV, this is a world to itself. (Much like the web.) Television
can be compared to a city. You have good sights and you have sights that are
unsavory. So it depends on what you wish to see. But everything really centers
on the heart.
