We're Moving ... From Friday to Wednesday!After over twenty years of having services on Friday nights,
Christian Challenge is moving our Friday night service to Wednesday
nights beginning June 4. This is a big change for us and only came
about after considerable prayer and discussion. After our Board of
Counselors considered the change we polled the congregation and over
90% either had no preference or preferred a Wednesday night service! We believe this change will be a blessing to the congregation at
large. Many parents are involved in their children's activities which
often take place on Friday nights. (Baseball, soccer, ballet,
gymnastics, football, band, etc.) Since the community at large
generally recognizes Wednesday night as a church night and doesn't
plan events for this night, CCI parents will no longer have to
struggle between supporting their child's activities and supporting
their church with their presence. Another exciting change is that we will also have a church
fellowship supper each Wednesday night before the service. The service
will start at 6:30 and supper will be served at 5:30. Families can
come together for a time of fellowship and an inexpensive meal and
then stay for a wonderful service of worship and teaching. Some may ask about our AWANA
program which has traditionally been held on Wednesday night. After
the summer hiatus AWANA will start
back in the fall on Sunday nights! We're delaying the change until
June so AWANA can complete this
year's schedule on Wednesday nights. We're excited about the change and hope you are too. We invite you
to join us on Friday, May 30, at 7:30 PM as we have our last Friday
night service and again on Wednesday, June 4 at 6:30 PM for our first
Wednesday night service. And don't forget the church fellowship supper
