your
questions.
As to why ministers are so picky about what name to baptize with, I can't
offer
too much. Each minister works within his own understanding. However, there is no
question that the earliest believers baptized in the name of Jesus. Not too long
afterward both forms of baptism were used. (According to the early Church
writings.) It seems that as the Church became more Gentile centered, the purpose
for baptizing in the name of Jesus was lost.
