> Question: i really believe clapping in church is
right to express joy in the church truthfully is good isn't it but there is no
biblical verses in the new testament on this. please post answer on this web
page.
Kayla,
Every church group has its own traditions with regard to worship. Clapping
one's hands is certainly acceptable where it is normative to the particular
church. This does not mean that clapping the hands
is acceptable in a tradition where it would seem strange. We must be considerate
of our brothers and sisters from other church traditions.
As for New Testament Scripture, keep in mind that the apostolic writers saw
no need to rewrite what had already been written about worship. For example,
Psalm 47:1 says, "O clap your hands, all peoples; shout to God with the
voice of triumph."
Not much else to add.
Blessings,
Buddy
