Ask The Pastor
December 15, 2001
Dear Friend,
You asked:
> 1. Why did Hitler kill so many Jews ?
Hitler was a man possessed by hatred. I believe the power
behind him was Satanic. But the primary reason for the killing of
so many Jews, was that Satan wanted to destroy the Jewish
race. He knows that the Jews have an important role to play in
the wrap up of the ages. According to my understanding, the
Jews and Christians will unite as one people in the future.
> 2. As you've said in your honourable reply to
someone else's question
> that the difference between the Jews and Christians lies in the latter's
> belief in Jesus, then what is the difference between Catholics and
> Protestants ?
There are a number of differences between Catholics and
Protestants. A primary difference relates to the Bible. Protestants
believe that the Bible should be God's final authority in the earth, in
matters of faith and life. Catholic look at the Bible as only one
source among others. They place great value upon traditions.
There are a great many other differences. Protestants do not pray
to saints, or to Mary. Protestants do not believe the Pope is the
head of the Church. These are just a couple of differences, but it
will give you something to work with. (Feel free to ask me
questions.)
> Don't they too disagree over the status of Jesus
as a God or Human
Not really. Both Catholics and Protestants believe that Jesus
was God, as well as the Son of God.
> ? pardon me for my ignorance.
Your questions are always welcome. We are all ignorant in
certain things.
