Hi Lucia,

I'm very happy to know that what I've provided has been of comfort to you. As for the trail you are walking, I am quite familiar with it.

> I still have family in the church and because I left and some of my
> standards have changed in so many words I am going to Hell, I was in

The UPC is nothing more than man's attempt to define what your relationship to God is to be about. But like all man-made religions, they are far off course. Your relationship to the Lord God is defined on one level alone. It all has to do with Jesus Christ. If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you are in good hands, and your future is secured. He alone is your life.

> I was in many forms of abuse. I know God loves me and I dont feel I
> am doomed for Hell just because I left the upc. my ex has since
> remarried I am single and I love the lord. but still have not found
> a church.

You will find a good place to worship in due time. Don't be discouraged. The Lord knows that you love Him.

> why are folks judged so hard when they leave the church. can you
> help me understand all of this. God Bless you and I know Jesus is
> coming soon and I dont think he is coming for a judgemental church
> but a loving one . please keep me in your prayers. Lucia

The root problem stems from a failure to understand both the gospel message and the new covenant. Jesus did not come to give us another religion. He came to give us Himself. He alone is the way to heaven, the truth of heaven, and the life of heaven.

Just keep in mind that religion in itself is something that men do. Its all about control. More wars have been fought over religion than over all other causes combined. You just need to keep your heart and affection centered on the Lord Himself. He will walk you through any confusion that arises.

Lucia, there is something else you may wish to do. Our ministry has an educational forum that you are welcome to subscribe to. I serve as the moderator. It is a good place for fellowship and for getting questions answered. If interested you can subscribe at the following site. (Be sure to complete the questionnaire.)

Let me know if I can help you. My deepest desire is to help any believer who has been associated with the UPC.

The Lord bless you,

Buddy
